*The Floofs*

Our newest arrivals came to us on 5/27 through our friends at ARFS in Grant County. These two sweet girls were found, believed to be dumped, with two other siblings off Martin Road where one of them fell into the irrigatin canal. Luckily, some children playing nearby heard the commotion of the puppy in the canal and were able to rescue it and the other 3 and took the pups to adults who were able to connect with the rescues to find placements.

The other two siblings went straight into foster-to-adopt homes through ARFs and these two girls were transferred to us at Finding Finnegan after receiving their first round of puppy vaccines and a much needed bath.

After a quick health check, they are about 8 weeks old (as of intake) and believed to be German Shepherd/Pyrenees mixes. They are already big fluffy (or "floofy") girls and are expected to grow to be quick large as adults.

The Floofs are scheduled to have their 2nd round of puppy vaccines on June 18th and will be available to go home after that date, if the adoption process has been completed. Grimm

Ms. Grimm (aka Gremlin) is definitely the more confident of the two girls and was sweetly protective of her sister when they first arrived. While still very scared after their rather traumatic rescue day, she was trying so hard to be brave for her sister.

It did not take long for Grimm to get comfortable and show off her true confidence and sassy side. She is silly, playful, loves cuddling and wrestling/playing, and telling you all about her thoughts on all the matters. Grimm is the best parts of puppyhood, with exactly what you would expect from a German Shepherd puppy (beware the velociraptor stage!) She is so incredibly sweet and as her confidence continues to grow, she is going to need patience and caring but clearly-set boundaries to become the best Grimm (or Gremlin) she can be.

(Floofer) Bear

(Floofer) Bear was a little more cautious to warm up, waiting until her sister showed her the 'all clear' and then Ms. Bear let her snuggly, sweet-as-pie side shine. While she initially hid behind (or under) her sister, as soon as they realized they were safe, it was a whole different dynamic.

She is truly a big cuddly bear and loves to be snuggled. Bear has a voice all her own and is quite vocal about greeting you, being sure to tell you just how excited she is to see you and get her loves She loves to wrestle and play with her sister and with patience and love from her forever family, will certainly grow in her confidence.

About Us

Finding Finnegan is a 501(c)(3) Washington Nonprofit Corporation based in Wenatchee. It was started to help try to fill the need in the area as more and more rescues and shelters are finding themselves well over-capacity with stray and unwanted dogs and puppies. It was named after one of the founders, Ms. Kate’s fosters, Finnegan (top middle), who was adopted by her parents and now lives a charmed life with his fur-brother, Charley, in Arizona.

Ms. Kate began fostering for the local Humane Society in 2018 and expanded to foster for multiple rescue agencies and shelters in the neighboring areas before starting Finding Finnegan to be able to directly rescue puppies in need.
